Saturday the 2nd

Ok so I'm at the parents house which is why posting has been delayed.

Breakfast - 1 egg (1), 1/2 avocado (3), 2 tbsp salsa (0) = 4 points=205 calories

Lunch - basically was me snacking. 1 serving of popchips (3), 1 serving of mixed nuts (5), 1 snowcone (6)=14 points=600 calories. I completely am guessing about the snowcone. I put down 2 cups which on the ww app was 6 points and I just put it in the calorie counter as 310 calories. No idea how right that is.

Dinner- 4 oz of Greek goat meet (4), 1.5 oz of tzatziki sauce (1)=5 points= 164 calories. This is my new favorite dinner when I come back home. The Greek place in Stillwater is so good and the meat and sauce are so low in points but really fill you up and it tastes so good!

Total = 23 points= 969 calories I will try to have a good snack later. We are going to watch despical me.

Saturday

No big plans for the weekend.  We're not very exciting, haha.  I'm starting to study for boards again (round 2 and 3 are in August) and am working on my residency application.  Then I am back to work on Tuesday on rotations....at least this one is going to be an easy one!

I'm really discouraged with how hot it is.  It is so miserable to get out and do anything that I am just so frustrated.  Going to start my workout videos back on Monday and do them before I go to work in the mornings.  

Slept in too late today.....eating breakfast at lunch time....poop
  • Brunch:  6.8 oz of acorn squash (17.19), pat of butter, bacon, iced tea with splenda


These squash are my new favorite food!  (Probably because they don't actually taste like squash!).  Just cut 'em in half and microwave them for 10 minutes with plastic wrap covering them, and they are amazing!  I usually season mine with some paprika and sometimes some garlic powder (plus a touch of butter). They are pretty high in carbs for a veggie (which is probably why they taste so good), but man, it is worth it! 
  • Snack:  home-made flax bread (2), sugar free jelly (1)
  • Dinner:  salad with tomatoes, egg, cheese (2), green beans (3), grilled shrimp (1)
  • Snack: rocky road on a cone (I can not say no to ice cream....there is zero will-power in this department!)  
Went and visited James' family this evening and ate at Texas Roadhouse.  I did really well at dinner and didn't touch the rolls or the rice on my plate....but then I gave into ice cream.  But I think I am ok with that.  Ice cream is one of those things I wouldn't ever want to give up completely.

Now I am debating a glass of wine since we are home and I am about to sit down and work on my application.....I feel like I need it, but we will see.  I will track it if I do.  Promise.  I probably deservce it after an evening with my MIL.

      Friday July 1st

      I'm so excited it's the first. #1 just because I finally have health insurance. I successfully survived a month uninsured, whew!

      I took today off so I'm just trying to catch up on stuff around the house that way I can enjoy the rest of the weekend in its entirety. I'm going to try to do yoga this afternoon and then run tonight after it cools down.

      Breakfast: 2 eggs (3) w/ 1/4 avocado (2), 1 tomato diced(0), 1/4 c. salsa (1) = 6 points = 256 calories

      My friend Melissa is coming into town today from Denver and she wants to eat at Ted's or Senor Tequila so I'm saving up some points/calories for fajitas. My goal is to eat no chips and to not have an alcoholic beverage.

      Lunch: Okay so I broke my 2 rules but I still stayed within my limits for the day so I figured it was acceptable. I got the vegetable relish to munch on instead of eating the chips but my mouth was on fire so I at some chips to cool it. I counted them though.

      Chicken fajitas w/no tortillas, cheese, sour cream or guac (8), 4 tortilla chips (1), Corona (5) = 14 points = 591 calories

      Dinner: Turkey burger (5) on light wheat bun (2) with tomato and onion and grilled corn on the cob (2) = 9 points = 374 calories



      Today's total = 29 points = 1221 calories

      Friday!

      Breakfast: iced coffee with cream and splenda drops (.92), whole avocado (2.18), bacon (.5), tomato (1.23)

      Lunch: chef salad with tomatoes (2.88), mushrooms(1.6), eggs, ham and cheese (1)

      Dinner: hamburger patty with bacon, portabello mushrooms(1.6), and Swiss cheese(.75) broccoli(5.56), sugar free cobbler(?15?)

      = ~40NC (15.05 from veggies)

      Thursday--I'm really glad we are doing this!

      • Breakfast/Lunch (woke up late and was a weird day):  iced coffee with cream and splenda drops(0.92), 2.6 oz. cherry tomatoes (1.85), 1/2 avocado (1.87)
      •  Dinner:  bacon wrapped shrimp, 1/2c. squash(2.6), cheese (4), tortilla chips (15), salsa(2.88)
      • Other:  glass of wine(4), sugar free blackberry cobbler(?)
                              =~40?NC (9.2 from veggies)



      Short-term goals:
      1. start back exercising on a regular basis!  No more "it's too hot" excuse!
      2. bring my lunch every day
      Long Term Goals:
      1. Be happy with how I'm doing for when I have to buy a new business suit for interviews (and for when I have to wear it this fall) 


      Well, the cobbler is an unknown, but it does have crust.  It is the sugar free kind my mom makes though, and I couldn't pass it up!!  Tonight was our "going out to eat" night for the week though.  Weird day....I woke up pretty late and kind of just had brunch and an early dinner.  

        Thursday June 30th (My Friday)





        Breakfast: 2 eggs (3) w/1 small diced tomato(0), 1/4 avocado (2) and 1/4 cup salsa (1) = 6 points (20.69%)= 256 calories (20.48%)

        Lunch: 3 oz of grilled chicken (4), light wheat hamburger bun (2), 1 medium green pepper (0), 1/4 c. greek yogurt dip(1), 1 apple (0) = 7 points = 417 calories

        Dinner: Hot dog at new hot dog place in city (12) this is a guesstimate. The worst hotdog I could find was 12 points. I'm sure they get worse though. 420 calories

        Dessert: WW ice cream bar (4) = 150 calories

        Total for today = 29 points = 1243 calories. I'm shooting for 29 points or 1250 calories whichever is less so this was a pretty good day.

        I came home and did Level 2 of 30 Day Shred. I'm still shaking. Jillian is hardcore. Plus I bought the magazine with the Jillian article. I think I may read her book. She is so awesome! I love her. And she looked really pretty in the magazine. She never gets all dolled up.

        Thanks for the information about the calorie app. I love it! I'm amazed by how many products you can find on it. And the barcode thing. I am dying to try it. How incredible! I love technology!

        Wednesday June 29th

        Breakfast- Yoplait harvest peach yogurt- 3 points and 100 calories
        - 1/2 nectarine - 0 points and 30 calories

        Lunch - Turkey Subway sandwich and baked lays - 7 points for the sandwich, 4 for the chips.

        14/19 points used. 15 left for dinner.

        Now here's the deal. The old me would say that I ate poorly for dinner and leave it at that but tonight I will be accountable. I don't know if I can track everything so instead I'll just write what I wrote. Claim it and move on.

        - 3 margaritas (happy hour with Sarah and Kristine)
        -chips, salsa and guacamole
        -3 mini chicken tacos
        -1 scoop of light key lime pie ice cream on a cake cone from Braums


        Yes, this was bad. However, Sarah and I have been using Wednesday evening as our free pass day to use our extra points and eat what we want. A time to sit, eat and just enjoy the middle of our week.

        However, there is a bright spot to this. I came home and did my 5K training for 30 minutes. It starts with a brisk 5 minute walk then run/walk for 22 minutes with a 5 minute cool down.

        Also, I went and weighed in today and lost 1.2 pounds this week so I'm feeling better. But I must say knowing this I have to be accountable to this blog makes me feel good. It's nice to know someone will be reading this besides just me.

        Wednesday

        Breakfast: 2.5 oz cherry tomatoes (1.75), half an avocado (1.87), 2 slices of bacon (0.25), 1/2 cup full fat plain Greek yogurt (5), 1/2cup strawberries (4.34), coffee with 1oz cream (.83)

        Lunch: grilled chicken wrap (15), veggies (2), water

        Dinner:  chicken leg, 7 oz. cauliflower (5.52), cheddar cheese (0.72)

        Snack:  blackberries (5)

            =43 Net Carbs

        New generation of blogging

        I like the app. Especially taking pictures of the food. I will buy it when I get home. Im excited about reviving the blog

        This is from a blogging app I just got. Much easier to use, but cost two bucks. Its called blogger plus. I like it so far though!

        Blogging from phone in this one. Maybe an app would be easier to use?? This at least is working, just kind of hard to use.
