Whew, what a week. Busy busy busy. I'm on my sub-internship for OB/Gyn, which basically means I'm pretending to be a resident and showing them how hard I can work . I also submitted my residency application this week, which I am glad to have done; now just waiting to hear back for interviews.
So how is the truck coming along? Did you guys find one??
No big plans for the weekend. Probably just spending some time with the families since we haven't seen them in a while. I'm glad to have a 3 day weekend though!!!!!!

Freakin Friday (I may start puttin the word freakin before everything)
Breakfast: Smoothie...if it will thaw out. I made one a week ago and saved the other half in the freezer. It's not really cooperating so far. I ran out of time this morning for anything else because I slept in.
Snack: Almond bar - smoothie never thawed and I was starving. I won't try the smoothie thing again.
Lunch: Somewhere with Sarah. We went to West. I had a portabella caprese sandwich. It came with couscous salad but it wasn't good so I only at the sandwich.
Dinner: English muffins w/tuna
Activity: Elliptical/run at the gym. Edit: no gym. I had to go back to work. I just got home (11:50) My manager came over at 4:15 and asked if I had plans this weekend. You know that's never a good sign. I had to finish this one return and I told him I like to go to zumba on Saturdays til 10:15. He thought that would put him reviewing too late so I just decided to go back in tonight and bust it out. I feel good that it's finished and that I'm done for the weekend. Hello 3 day break!
So I didn't get up this morning. I'm not feeling too hot. I have a headache and my back really hurts. Not sure if it's from working out or that time of the month. I'm just glad that time of the month got here. I sorta skipped the last 2 months...I think mostly from the working out and change of diet but I'm happy it's back. I was starting to get a little worried.
Hope you have a great Friday. Any labor day weekend plans? Lake?

Thursday - Freakin September 1st!!!
So glad it's September! I'm more ready for fall than I have ever been.
Breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 pieces of turkey bacon, 1 c. grape tomatoes, 1/2 pack 100 cal. guacamole
Snack: Oat and chocolate bar (I was starving)
Lunch: Tuna on english muffin, apple, yogurt
Snack: Cookie cake?? hahaha. I did eat some cookie cake. Scraped off the icing.
Dinner: cauliflower tots, black bean burger on english muffin,
dessert: blackberries
Went and did boot camp this morning for an hour and 15 minutes. I may not be able to walk later this afternoon.
I want to do zumba tonight though. I may not get out of bed on Saturday.
I am worn out after today. I'm going to bed so I can get up and do spin class tomorrow. I may take tomorrow evening off. Boot camp was so crazy this morning. I can already feel the effects.

Wednesday
Wow! Look at you! I'm so proud of you!!
I don't know! I know you do well on WW, but then it is kind of hard to do it forever isn't it? I don't know....
I don't know! I know you do well on WW, but then it is kind of hard to do it forever isn't it? I don't know....
- Breakfast: 1/2 apple with PB, bacon, iced coffee
- Lunch: small portion of mac and cheese (not low carb)
- Snack: 2 mini baby bell cheeses
- Dinner: kids sized quesadilla (figured portion control was better for today since I didn't have a choice as to what I ate today)
I'm on a hard rotation right now, and I forget how hard it is to multi-task my food with a tough schedule. At this point I'm lucky if I get to eat at all..... I've been bringing healthy snacks, but sometimes don't even have time to fit those in!
Sounds like we are both struggling with our eating!! :(
Wednesday
I actually got up and did a spin class at 5:15!!! I'm so glad I did because it felt so good to be up and doing something just for me. The gym was packed. I had no idea so many people got up that early to work out. I think I want to start working out twice a day and see how I feel. I think that will help with my eating too. When I work out I crave water more and just generally eat better I think. Maybe my problem has been not working out until after dinner and by that point I've already done all that damage. I'm going to try this for the next 3 weeks to see if I can make it a habit.
Breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 slices of turkey bacon, grape tomatoes, 1/2 pack 100 cal guacamole = 255 calories (33.33% fat, 46.43% protein, 20.24% carbs)
Lunch: Tuna salad on an english muffin (261 cal), WW yogurt(100 cal), apple (72 cal) = 433 calories (5.70 % fat, 30.25% protein, 64.05% carbs)
Snack: Peach = 61 calories (2.32% fat, 8.51%, 89.17% carbs)
Dinner: Pizza with the girls. I'm going to eat just one slice and then get a salad. No alcohol. I may have a diet coke. Pizza isn't the same without diet coke. So we all split a pizza. I had 2 pieces and 3 of the toasted ravioli. No alcohol.
Night activity: Running. I think I'm going to start couch to 5k back at week 3. I've taken a break so I think it would be good to sort of re-condition. Edit: I started back on Week 2. It's amazing how you can lose ground so quickly. I saw run 7 minutes walk 2 and repeat 3 times and I was like, "yeah right". So I ran 3 walked 3, 4 times and did 5 minutes warm up and cool down.
I still haven't decided how I'm going to structure my workouts. I know I want to do zumba on Saturdays for sure and probably on Sundays so for the week I may just do strength training and cardio. Tuesday/Thursday may be strength and then Saturday I do toning with zumba. I will get cardio in on Tuesday/Thursday too maybe with elliptical and then I may continue to do cycling on M/W/F mornings and some sort of run in the evening. I sort of want to check out boot camp at the Y as well. I think they have that tomorrow morning. I wonder if I can be that daring. I guess I can always try it once and see what happens.

Tuesday
Breakfast: 2 eggs, grape tomatoes, 1/2 pack guacamole, 2 strips of turkey bacon
Lunch: Kung Pao chicken w/the office
Dinner: Black bean burger w/cauliflower tatortots
Dessert: chocolate covered banana
Activity: Ripped in 30 level 2 w/Jillian
Something is wrong with me. I have been WAY overeating. I can't stop. And then when I do overeat and feel that gross after feeling I start the guilt and almost panic. So then I declare that I won't do it again and then what happens when I get hungry? I do it all over again. I was doing so good there for a little while. Should I go back on weight watchers? Maybe I can't just do this on my own. I'm really mad at myself today.

Sunday---
I'm sorry about no post yesterday. Lots of different things happening and just didn't get any time to get on my computer. I'm back though and am starting something different today. I want to start tracking again hardcore. I'm going to do the old Weight Watchers plan and calorie count. My weight is up the past 2 weeks and I know it's because of my portions.
I didn't answer your question about the chips. They are called Eatsmart Naturals. They're made by the Snyeder's of Hanover people. They're made with whole yellow corn, canola oil, rice flour, sesame seeds, brown flax seeds, chia seeds, quinoa flakes and sea salt. They still have 19g of carbs per serving though. They were really good. I guess they have different flavors. I just bought the sea salt variety to go with my nachos.
I also found this dark chocolate almond spread. It has about the same nutritional value as pb except it's a little less calories and fat. I tried it on an english muffin last night and it was awesome.
I went to try out those food trucks on Friday night and 40 state officials came to shut down every establishment by 8:30. There were 5 different agencies there. Needless to say that's a tad bit scary how much opposition food trucks seem to be encountering lately. I'm going to try and call the mayor again tomorrow to make sure he knows this happened and if there's going to be a solution.
Also, in other news I ended it with that guy. I guess I could have saved myself time and done it last Monday when I was talking about it. Yesterday he asked if he could take me to dinner and then he sorta invited himself over here first. I had stuff to do so I asked if we could meet somewhere. He said just let him know and that he owes me dinner and he feels bad. So I went and ran my errands and an hour and a half later texted him and told him I was finishing up and if he had a place in mind. Didn't hear from him so I started taping off my dining room (I painted my dining room/kitchen last night) and then I hear his motorcycle pull up. He came in and I was sorta upset that he just showed up. I just wanted to meet him somewhere. So anyway I finished taping and asked if he knew where he wanted to go for dinner. There was a silent pause so I turned to look at him and saw it on his face...I asked if he already ate and he said yes, because he was hungry and didn't know how long I would take. So what in the hell? You come over when I basically say not to and it's not even to take me to dinner. You ate without me! I just told him that we weren't doing this tonight and that I was going to get dinner and paint my wall...Alone. I just can't stand people being inconsiderate like that. Don't ask someone to dinner and then eat without them. If you're going to do that at least have the decency to tell them that that's what you're doing. So anyway, he's gone now. Back to simple life.
Breakfast: English muffin (1), dark chocolate almond butter (2), banana(2), skim milk (2) = 7 points = 381 calories
Lunch: black beans w/salsa and cheese
Dinner: Somewhere in Stillwater. Mom wants me to go watch this speaker talking about Islam at our church. (Edit) We just ended up chilling at the house so I ate some cheese and wheat thins, a piece of butterscotch pudding thing and 2 cookies. Super healthy.
Snack: Apple & dark chocolate almond butter (this stuff may be dangerous)
Activity: Zumba...Sarah is going to do it with me today. I'm so excited!
