Oh Saturday....my favorite!

Breakfast: English muffin (3), pb(3), banana (0) = 6 points = 300 calories

Lunch: Mozzarella cheese and tomato salad (2), 2.75 oz avocado (3), baked cauliflower w/evoo (4), ice cream (9) = 16 points = 728 calories

Dinner: 2 corn tortillas (4), 4 oz of ground turkey 97% fat free (3), 1/4 c. black beans (1), tomato, green onion, salsa = 8 points = 414 calories



Total = 30 points = 1442 calories

Got up this morning and did toning zumba. Last week I didnt use weights and today I used 3's on each arm. She said the max you could do was 3 but that's all I had at home. Max was right. Dear goodness. Holding those up the whole hour was really hardcore.

Also did Jillian's Ripped in 30 yesterday and she just gets more and more hardcore. My body feels really fatigued today...but in a good way.

Went to watch roller derby tonight. That is a goal....I will be out there playing one day!

Friday...Amen

Monday: English muffin (3), pb (3), banana (0), skim milk (1) = 7 points = 343 calories

Lunch: 1 c. tomato bisque and 1/2 ham & cheese = 14 points = 806 calories (This is hilarious. I went to lunch with the girls at work. They wanted to go to BJ's. They both watch their calories like crazy and told me that they always get the bisque and 1/2 sandwich because it's 364 calories. I found a website that said it was 364 calories too but then I found the real nutritional information. I don't have the heart to tell them they've been eating nearly 2.5 times what they think it is. Oh well, haha)

Remainder: 8 points or 351 calories. I will shoot for 1500 calories today. We'll see how much I work out to see if I need to change that around at all. Here's to being flexible.

Dinner: Had a spinach salad w/raspberry vinaigrette and a mojito. I really don't know what the calories are. The salad didn't have much on it besides spinach, red onions and some pine nuts. Walked all over bricktown and did Jillian so I won't worry too much about the calories.

Fitness: I'm hoping to go buy Jillian's Ripped in 30 today. I heard it's so much harder than the 30 day shred but I want to see what it's like. I wish they had Zumba on Fridays.

Going to research running apps this morning. I will report back with what I find.

Here is the link I found to the top 10 running apps. That first app looks awesome. It's $10 and I've never spent money on an app before. I didn't even buy angry birds for myself but it looks so cool I may have to splurge. The fitnio looks cool too though and is a lot cheaper. I like the ultra timer for the couch to 5k though because it could alert me when it's time to switch over to walking instead of having to keep looking at my phone when the time gets close! So many to choose from

-Meet Betsy at 8:30 for a drink

Friday Friday Friday

Well today and tomorrow could get interesting.  I am visiting Kim tonight to work on my residency apps and I've heard the words cupcakes and wine thrown around.  Then tomorrow we have a clinical skills workshop, so I am staying at her house tonight.  Will have my laptop to track, but I can't promise it'll be pretty.  I'm going to try to at least work on portion sizes and such since I don't know if I'll have a chance to workout today or tomorrow.

I'm heading to go take my Family Medicine final now....  So glad I'm done with this rotation.

Snack: Blended chai latte w/skim milk at Aspen (hopefully) 5 points? 300 calories?

Fitness: Have to go to stillwater but if I don't get home too late I will either run or do Jillian level 3

In other news...I miss Diet Coke! It has been a whole week now since I've had one and I miss my friend.

Had a great marketing meeting with Shane. He is so inspirational! And just now got in from my 40 minute Couch to 5k run! Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!

I feel "off" today because I was rushed this morning.  I really wanted to update this morning.

Proud of myself for not eating chips today.  I had a hormonally induced binge last night on those damn chips that were in the cabinet!  Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.  I was bored and lonely and procrastinating and frustrated.....so I of course interpreted these feelings as "I'm starving...for chips!"  STUPID.  So you can only imagine how many carbs I ate if 2chips=5 carbs....at least 100!

Seriously, what is wrong with me??  I had the best day I've had in a long time, and then I go and ruin it by self-sabotaging.   SERIOUSLY.  Still mad at myself obviously.

WW Wednesday

Lunch: Subway Turkey Sandwich (7), baked chips (3) = 10 points = 400 calories

Dinner: ???? It looks like Sarah wants to go have Hideaway. I will only eat 2 pizzas of pizza. No pop. No apps.

Activity: couch to 5k for 40 minutes (5 min warm up and cool down / run 8 walk 2 x 3)

Oh weigh in day...how I do not love you. The scale was nicer this morning though so hopefully I won't have gained this week at the scale. I have no plans as of now for dinner so I'm not sure what I'll do. I have some cauliflower left over and some asparagus in my fridge so I may just repeat Monday's dinner.

Weigh in: I maintained. My weight loss is almost laughable at this point. Tish frustrated.

Tonight was meal #2 off of plan. That's my last splurge meal of the week. I didn't do too bad. I got light cheese, thin crust pizza with veggies and only ate 2/3 of it. I totally could have finished it. I came home and ate my other half of cupcake with skim milk.

However, later I got hungry and made myself some chex cereal w/skim milk. Bad decision. Do not eat cereal 30 minutes before running. I thought I was going to die. I finished it though. I feel beat up. I felt so much better running on Monday when I didn't eat like 2 hours before I ran. This will go down in memory. Running how-to's.

I do feel better after finishing the run though. I love the Couch to 5k!

Feeling positive today.  I've got a long to-do list and I'm ready to get started!  I've got a lot of studying to do today, as well as some house work.  I've also scheduled my workout for this afternoon when I usually hit the "I deserve a nap" wall.  I'm either going to do an insanity video or walk hills on the treadmill for an hour (While watching netflix!  My favorite, haha!).  I'm majorly hormonal so I think any progress I make this week would be amazing.  I did cave on the chips and let myself have 2 last night, but I don't feel bad because normally I would eat 2 handfuls of them (tostitos hint of pepper jack chips=crack for a hormonal woman).  Eating 2 let me get over the craving and be done with it....but man,5 carbs for 2!!

Tuesday

Lunch: Gazpacho (3) & tomato mozzarella salad(2)-no oil this time, 7 pretzels (2), WW cherry cheesecake yogurt (2) = 9 points = 332 calories

Dinner: 3 small tacos(9), chips and salsa (8) & a margarita (6) from Iguana Grill. "Business dinner with Courtney and Besty" = 23 = 1025 calories for this and the cupcake and milk

Dessert: Skim milk (1), 1/2 cupcake (3) = 4 points

Total = 42 points = 1657 calories

Activity: Zumba for an hour. I am so excited about Zumba tonight! I can't wait. It's like dance class but more fun!

The running is starting to get easier. Last night I did the run 7 walk 2 and repeated 3 times and I wasn't dying at the end. I think I'm going to start looking up 5k races in the fall to help motivate myself to a full goal of being able to run one. Maybe not fast but just run the whole thing.

Lesson: Learn to not eat the chips at the table. I planned well on everything but the chips.....and the cupcake. But I cut it in half when I got home from zumba and ate it with some skim milk. I need to get better about eating out with the girls. Granted I didn't do that horrible tonight because it could have been a lot worse but I need to know in my head that it's not an all out pass to eat.

Do you have the couch to 5k app for your phone??  I'm thinking about getting it...mostly because I love apps.  :)

I'm doing pretty well today.  Just gotta say "NO" to the chips that are calling my name from the cabinet.  James isn't home, so it would be so easy for me to just snack on junk all night while I study (I got used to him cooking for me!)...  Not gonna do it!  That would be a waste of effort from the rest of the day.

    I read about someone eating this breakfast on Shape's twitter last week and I've been craving it ever since.

    Lunch: Gazpacho (3) , tomato mozzarella salad (4) = 7 points = 255 calories



    I'm not sure about the calories and such on the gazpacho. I tried to do the recipe builder and ran out of time. I don't really know how many servings. If I put in 4 servings it said it was 100 calories and 3 points. It's all veggies so I guess that's about right. The salad had 1 oz. of mozzarella on it with 1/2 tbsp of EVOO and some balsamic mixed together with crushed red pepper and some garlic salt.



    Snack: Peach(0) = 61 calories

    Dinner: Asparagus (1), grilled turkey fillet (5), cauliflower (2), watermelon (0), 2 servings of light ice cream (6) it was too good! = 14 points = 777 calories

    Total = 27 points = 1393 calories. Maybe I should try and break my calories up more throughout the day instead of loading them at the end. At least I'm going running in like an hour and a half to burn some of that off.

    Fitness: 37 minutes of running this evening

    Sunday July 24th

    Okay so today I didn't track. I ate all healthy items but I was just eating a little piece of fruit here and some veggies here so I didn't really keep track.

    I did workout with Jillian tonight. 30 Day Shred Level 3. She is so hard core. Level 3 is more pliometrics and jumping and squating. I will hurt tomorrow.

    I made gazpacho for lunch all week. It's in the fridge "coming together" hopefully. I also made a new drink tonight. I've been reading the Clean Eating magazine and it had a recipe for a watermelon, papaya, jalepeno drink. I just had it after my work out and it was amazing. You can put alcohol in it but I didnt cause it really doesn't need anything. I will have to make that again. I took pics. I will try and upload some tomorrow.
